NSS Special Winter Camp 2024

The NSS Unit of SET’s Sawkar Homoeopathic Medical College, Satara, had organized SPECIALWINTER CAMP OF 7 DAYS at Varye, Tal, Dist Satara from 20th March 2024 to 26th March 2024. The main objective of this camp was to inculcate the spirit of Voluntary work among the volunteers and to empower the Village Community.

Program was co-ordinated under the valuable guidance of Dr. Manish V. Inamdar , Principal Sawkar HMC assisted by NSS Programme officer Dr. Soniya Naikwadi.

The NSS Volunteers of the NSS performed many activities, awareness programmes as literacy, food and Nutrition, Health and hygiene, Child care, Communal harmony, Save Girl Child etc.

For that Home surveys, Survey for Anaemia amongst village females and school going girls , free Hb% estimation Camp was conducted. General health Check up of Primary School students was done by Medical officers and NSS Volunteers. With association of Lions Nab Charitable Eye Hospital Free Eve Check up Camp was organized in which 87 patients got benefitted.

In association with Samarth Charitable Hospital of Sawkar HMC, Satara conducted free General Health Checkup and Homoeopathic Treatment camp, in which 117 patients were examined and treated.

Cleanliness campaign was organized to clean area around village temple and street. Street plays for awareness about use of plastic and it’s disposing in right way were exhibited at the village.
